Our Castel represents 5 centuries of history!
If stones could talk… No doubt they would tell you the story of the life of Marguerite d’Anjou, nicknamed “The Lioness of England”, daughter of the good King René and who, legend has it, lived here!
These stones will also tell you about the adventurous monks of Fontevraud, the kings who loved good wine, the conquerors and the winegrowers who still pass on this tradition today. conquistadors, and the winegrowers who are still passing on this richly flavoured history history through their land and their AOC “Saumur Champigny” wines.
